Day 1 Arrival and welcome at Cairo International Airport.
Assisted through customs.
Escorted to your hotel.
Day 2 Breakfast at your hotel.
Start off with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.
On to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, which houses many of Egypt’s national archeological assets. These include treasures belonging to the boy King Tutankhamun.
Off to Khan-el-khalili to shop at the oldest bazaar in the world.
Escorted to your hotel.
Day 3 Early breakfast at your hotel and check-out.
Depart Cairo for a drive along the west coast of the Sinai Peninsula.
Stop for lunch.
Drive through the beautiful Wadi Feiran – the Sinai’s largest wadi (valley).
Dinner under the stars and overnight camp.
Day 4 Early morning ascent to Gebel Musa (Mount Moses) to experience sunrise from the summit. The views across the craggy red mountains are breathtaking.
From here we head to the foot of Mt Sinai to visit St Catherine’s Medieval Monastery - believed to have been built around the site of Moses’ burning bush.
Drive to Blue Mountain or Blue Desert, which is considered a symbol of peace. This area is so named because a Belgian artist (with permission) painted many rocks and giant boulders blue.
After lunch we drive onwards to Wadi Safra to view the prehistoric rock carvings and well preserved Bronze Age tombs.
Drive to the quaint Ain Hudra Oasis for dinner and overnight camping.
Day 5 After breakfast we wander through The Yellow Canyon to view dramatic rock formations. The canyon derives its name from the sandstone which ranges in colour from yellow to red.
Our tour continues along the coast to Nebeq where we stop to have lunch on the beach.
From here we drive through Wadi Chereza and Wadi Genai.
We stop at the famous Blue Hole – a submarine sinkhole and scuba diving location around 130 metres deep.
Dinner and camp overnight.
Day 6 After breakfast at camp we spend a leisurely morning swimming and snorkelling at The Blue Hole Laguna.
Afterwards, we walk along the beach to The Ras Abu Galum National Park.
After lunch on the beach we take a drive to the seaside town of Nuweiba.
Stroll through the town.
Afternoon drive through Wadi Watir to Ain Furtaqa.
Dinner and overnight camp at the mouth of The Coloured Canyon.
Day 7 Breakfast at camp.
Hike through The Coloured Canyon to experience its rare and breathtaking rock formations.
Head back to Cairo.
Escorted to your hotel.
Day 8 Breakfast at your hotel.
Transfer to Cairo International Airport.
