Day 1 Arrival and welcome at Cairo International Airport.
Assisted through customs.
Escorted to your hotel.
Day 2 Breakfast at your hotel.
Visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza where you will enjoy a ride on Egypt’s famous “ship of the dessert”, the camel. You will also visit the Sphinx, which is adjacent to the Great Pyramids.
We drive to Memphis, the capital of the ancient kingdom.
From here we head to Sakkara, the site of the “Step Pyramid” dating from 2700 BC. It is the first of the Egyptian pyramids and the world’s oldest stone structure.

Day 3 Early breakfast at your hotel
Drive to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, which houses many of Egypt’s national archeological assets. These include treasures belonging to the boy King Tutankhamun.
In the afternoon we’ll take a tour of old Cairo. Here you’ll visit the famous Coptic church. Known as the “Hanging Church” it is so named for its suspended location above a centuries old gatehouse.
Behind the church is the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Originally a Coptic church it was sold to the Jews in 882 AD. When faithfully reconstructed in 1892 to represent the original, a hiding place for sacred books containing original documents from the Middle Ages was discovered.
Afterwards we drive to the awe inspiring Citadel once fortress to the notorious Saladin. The Citadel complex contains the alabaster Mohammed Ali Mosque. Take in some of the best views of the city from the mosque terrace. Escorted back to your hotel.
In the evening you will be escorted to the station for your first class seat on the overnight train to Aswan.
Day 4 You will be met at the station and escorted to your hotel. After settling in we visit the controversial High Dam that controls Egypt’s life blood (The Nile).
Then we take a boat to Philae Temple on Algilika Island.
Day 5 Aswan is yours to explore at your leisure
Join us as we board a plane for a short flight up the Nile for a day trip to magnficent Abu Simbel. It is comprised of two rock temples. The first is The Great Temple of Ramses II where four gigantic seated statues of Ramses form the temple façade. The second temple, The Hathor Temple was dedicated by Ramses to his favourite wife, Nefertari. Fly back to Aswan.

Day 6 Breakfast at your hotel and check-out.
Today we embark on our felucca sail boat to Kom Ombo.
At Kom Ombo we leave our felucca tied at the wharf to explore the twin Temples of Haroeris and Sobek.
In the afternoon we resume our cruise past villages, sand dunes and palm groves.
Overnight on deck under the stars.
Day 7 Breakfast on board.
Today we dock at Edfu to board horse-drawn carriages for a short ride to The Temple of Horus. This is the best preserved temple on the Nile.
From here you will be taken by car to Luxor where you will settle in to your 3 star hotel.
Day 8 Early breakfast at your hotel.
We head off to The Valley of The Kings to explore a few of the more than 60 ancient royal tombs. We also visit The Valley of The Queens.
You will see the majestic Colossi of Memnon, the Mourtuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Deir El Bahari (mortuary tomb and temple complex).

Day 9 Breakfast at your hotel and check-out.
Visit to the spectacular Temples of Karnak and Luxor.
Take your time exploring the temples in detail.
Meander as you like for the remainder of the day. Wonder through Luxor’s streets, visit the Mummification Museum, or take in some shopping.
Escorted to Luxor station for your first class seat on the overnight train to Cairo.
Day 10 Arrival in Cairo. You will be met at the station and escorted to your hotel.
Take the day to explore at your leisure.
Day 11 Breakfast at your hotel.
Transfer to Cairo International Airport.


  • Full assistance from the time we meet at the airport until you say farewell to the land of the pharaohs;
  • All transportation and transfers in Egypt as listed on your itinerary;
  • Entrance fees to all sites listed on your itinerary;
  • Guided tours in the capable hands of knowledgeable English-speaking guides (except Kom Ombo and Edfu between Aswan and Luxor where you will be able to explore sites on the itinerary at leisure);
  • Hotel accommodation. Keep in mind that prices may vary based on quality, location and amenities. All accommodation is based on a double room bed and breakfast basis;
  • Full board on felucca (from lunch on Day 1 until breakfast on the last day);
  • First class seated train fare (sleeping compartment is extra).
