Egypt’s southernmost oasis, covering an area of about 200*30 km, with around 60,000 inhabitants, is the largest and the most densely populated of Egypt’s oases.   • Deposit and Payment
    A full payment will be required when confirming your booking as requested once you arrive in Egypt or through direct bank transfer.
  • Tour Voucher
    After your tour is confirmed we will email final confirmation and voucher to print and bring with you. Details will include contact numbers of your tour operator and customer care and additional information for your convenience.
  • Cancellation Policy
    Adventureinegypt does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons beyond control. If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and Memphis Tours has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

  • guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and drive for almost 4-5 hours to El Kharga Oasis. On arrival, start, Your day tours to Kharga oasis from Luxor to visit the temple of Hibis, the largest cult-shrine in any of the oases. Dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun-Re, Mut and Khons, dates back to the reign of the XXVI Dynasty ruler Psammetichus II and completed by the Persian emperor Darius I (521–486 BC).
  • Proceed to the Al-Bagawat, one of the earliest and best preserved Christian cemeteries in the world. Al-Bagawat Necropolis, consisting of 263 mud-brick chapels date from the 4th to the 6th centuries AD. you will visit the Chapel of Peace which has figures of the Apostles on the squinches of the domes, just visible through Greek graffiti. The Chapel of the Exodus, which has the best-preserved paintings, including the Old testament story of Moses leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. The scenes in all these tombs are crudely executed but full of life and vividly coloured.
  • Continue for a photo stop at the ruined temple of al Nadura, which has strategic views of the area and once doubled as a fortified lookout. It was built during the reign of Roman emperor Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161) to protect the oasis.
